Discover how Tool Ninja uses affiliate links in product recommendations, including banner ads and email newsletters, while maintaining transparency for our readers.
TL;DR
Tool Ninja may use affiliate links in product recommendations, including banner ads and email newsletters, but will clearly mark them with a different color, icon, or tooltip to ensure transparency for our readers.
Affiliate Disclaimer
At Tool Ninja, we're committed to helping providing free online tools to help you build and promote your website or blog and writing articles or reviews that may use affiliate or referral links when we recommend products.
We only recommend products that we've personally used or that come highly recommended by trusted peers. We're committed to providing honest and helpful recommendations to our readers.
If you end up buying a product via our affiliate link, we receive a commission from the vendor to thank us for a referral. The commission comes out of the vendor's pocket, not yours, and doesn't cost you anything extra. But we never recommend a product solely based on the affiliate commission it offers.
Sometimes, the commission we earn may be just a few dollars, and other times it's more substantial. It can be a one-time commission or a rolling commission, meaning we might receive a slice of a monthly subscription fee if you sign up for a service via our link.
Displaying affiliate links
To be transparent, we might display affiliate links in several ways:
- Banner images, product images or company logos
- Text links in our blog articles or email newsletter
Text affiliate links may be styled in a different color, include an icon, or add a tooltip that appears when you hover over the link.
